Mandate
A self-governing association of short-term insurers and reinsurers whose mandates are derived from the objects of its Constitution: to protect, promote and advance the interests of short-term insurance underwriters, and to promote agreements and cooperation between members.

To be a professional, well organized and ethical non-life insurance industry, reputed and trusted by stakeholders based on the delivery of unique value.

Insurance Pools Management
MIP, the COMESA Yellow Card, SRIC and the Motor Insurance Bureau: premium management, investment and claims disbursement.
Auxiliary Activities & Services
Member meetings, industry statistics, conferences, collective bargaining, risk profiling, fraud prevention and shared ICT systems.
Advocacy & Representation
Representing members in the review and reform of legislation, policy and regulation, and acting as the industry's source of information.

- Motor Insurance Pool (MIP): foreign motorists visiting Zimbabwe without a Yellow Card. Claim form from ICZ.
- COMESA Yellow Card: third-party cover for travel to COMESA countries.
